Of course you can! You can choose whether you aim for a birdie, par or anything else as you go through the game plan hole by hole. Just press on the "Smart Objective" zone at the bottom right.

Since version 1.6, you can choose the club you want to play to tee-off. This allows you to customize your game plan even more and in particular to choose the clubs you are the most confident with.

Since version 1.6, you can decide your mindset by indicating how much risk you are willing to take. If you are confident, you can choose the 'Aggressive' strategy. You can also decide to play in 'Normal' mode and we will recommend a balanced solution between risk and caution. Finally, if you want to "protect" your scorecard on a specific hole, adopt the strategy with the lowest risk that will avoid a heavy score, but without giving you much of a chance to do better than your goal.

When you fine tune your game plan, hole by hole, you can tap at any time on the global objective on the top left so you can modify it. Also, when you change your smart objective for a specific hole, the overall objective is changed immediately.

This information allows us to refine even more your future game plans since we can more easily un-correlate the playing conditions from your own performance.

Our algorithm takes into account the impact of global elevation or altitude of the golf course on ball distances. We also take into account the elevation differences on each shot to fine-tune at its best the club selection.

Our algorithm takes into account the temperature planned for your round at the moment you created your game plan. The effects of wind are also taken into account when playing with the Live caddy. (a data connexion is then needed on the course)

From the overall score you are aiming for, Hello Birdie automatically determines on which hole you should play for an objective of birdie, par, or bogey, according to the probabilities you will have to reach that score on each hole of the particular course you will be playing. Of course, you can adjust any hole objective to your preferences. On each hole, Hello birdie finds out what club-sequence should ensure you the best results, which tactical choice will give you the optimal odds to score an objective, or better. The predictions calculated when creating a round can take about 15-20 seconds to compute, and we are working of reaching even faster results. Be aware that the best tactics predictions for you are computed from a very large number of simulations, more than hundreds of thousands for a single hole, with your profile. Our algorithms are based on your own capabilities, if you tracked enough rounds, or if you setup your own performance data for each clubs ; or by a prediction of you capabilities based on players similar to you if you did not track enough rounds yet. In order to get Hello Birdie App, you would just need to download it from the App store. Once downloaded, you just need to follow the registration process.

From the login screen of your hello birdie app, you can find a "Forgot password" link. By clicking on this link, you will open a pop-up window to give us the email linked with your account. You will then receive an email to confirm this procedure and get access to an online form to reset your password.

If you are already logged in, you can also click on the "Change password" in your profile screen.

It is possible to cancel a subscription at any time, using the dedicated Apple or Google interfaces. The procedures are described here at Apple and here at Google.

If you were in a free trial period, you will not be charged. If you were not in a trial period, your subscription will work until the expiration date.

No, you are not required to mark the position of a shot. Hello Birdie's artificial intelligence automatically recognizes where you played from by combining your GPS track with your scorecard.

For the moment, the Hello Birdie app does not yet allow multiple players on the same device. The GPS track would not be able to properly follow two or more players at the same time. Therefore, adding a second scorecard is not possible for the moment but we are working on it for a future update.

The strong point of Hello Birdie is its adaptation in real time. If you deviate from your initial strategy - intentionally or not! - the Live Caddy adapts in real time to bring you back to the green in the most efficient way - including suggesting a recovery shot if necessary! Also, you can use the rangefinder function at any time by tapping on your target on the screen to obtain the distances (GPS + the one corrected from the playing conditions) of the desired shot and the following one.

Thanks to the app and the statistics provided by Hello Birdie, you can of course identify the missing clubs in your bag. A good way to prepare a shopping and/or fitting session!

Hello Birdie is fully autonomous on the Apple Watch - version "Series 3" and above - once you are on the golf course.

After creating a round on your iPhone, you can then:
- Directly start a round and Sign the scorecard
- During the game, access to:
   - information of the hole being played, GPS distances with elevation,
   - live caddie with Plays like distances and club recommendation based on playing conditions,
   - 2D smart map of the hole,
   - Shot tracking + score overview,
   - game plan info (if it was previously made),
   - Weather conditions,

Some features are included in the free version of Hello Birdie. You can also get the most of the Smart Caddie on your Apple Watch by subscribing to the corresponding Premium plan.

Greenkeepers are great people, they will sometimes change the setup of their courses for some good reasons most of the times. Even if we have a great database of golf courses, sometimes it can take a while so that we have the info! You can let us know what golf course is not perfectly mapped and we will shortly make the update available. It is usually taking up to 48-72 hours.
